Oh, thank goodness! At last someone who was able to rise above this season's problems. Kevin's excellent microphone technique may have been his saving grace here, not to play down his extraordinary talent, but look at how he leans away at 29s and in again at 32s and note the effect that has. This is a guy who didn't have to be told to do that, and those two passages hit home equally because of his natural ease on stage and on mic. Technically this was a confident and artistic performance by a creative interpreter, and a consummate professional. I think we might just have seen the season winner!

That is raw emotion in his voice. You might wonder what separates good singers from great singers? Well for me, the great ones make you feel something when they sing. This dude has that in spades. What a performance.
