This detailed tutorial will walk you through issues you may encounter while manually installing the required flightplans and repaints for the 1998 Flight Simulator project for Prepar3Dv4\5, but these steps will also work in FSX thru P3Dv3. What you learn will also help you manually install any AI flightplans and repaints, as well as customize the airlines to your liking. You may skip through it if you don't care about the areas being covered and just want the bare basics.

The flightplans and links to required files may be found from any of these sources:

Alpha India Group(AIG) Forums: www.alpha-india.net/forums/index.php?topic=33495.0

The following prerequisites, all free of charge, are required before this tutorial/installing the flightplans:

-Start accounts on Flightsim.com, Avsim.net, the RetroAI forums, and the AIG forums. These will be required for certain downloads.

-Download Ttools here: flyawaysimulation.com/downloads/files/1231/traffic…

-Download DXTbmp here: www.mwgfx.co.uk/programs/dxtbmp.htm

Hey man, love what your doing this is great stuff. Have a couple questions, I'm only getting very few planes at my VHHX on FSX, usually no more than 5 and they don't seem to move at all, just parked. Am I just not waiting long enough or something? And how do I get more planes? I want the airport to be PACKED with this AI traffic, I don't have that much traffic installed so far, maybe that's why. Thanks
  • this will still work for fs2004 yes if i do it all manually? its a great project been searching for this for a while :)
