I worked on this nearly every day for two months, totaling to just under 500 hours. I hope people enjoy it, and that this doesn't stop Extra from being created/released. Please note that I had to completely disable game audio to stop the game from desyncing, so all of the audio here was manually inserted back in with higher quality music/samples. This took me about the same amount of time to do as creating the TAS itself, so if you see any input/routing errors you don't need to tell me. I already know from staring at every single frame under a magnifying glass.

This Tool-Assisted Speedrun (TAS) was created with hourglass which allows for save stating and frame advance. It aims to beat the game in the shortest time possible while also doing all platforming secrets without the wrong warp glitch. Some time vs entertainment trade-offs are also done. This run is not a show of skill as it was not created in real-time, only a video for entertainment and to see what could be done if the Real-Time Action (RTA) runners could execute entirely frame perfect input and see the future.

I love how these TAS playthroughs make everything look like it's on the scrub level when in reality the things that TAS runs breeze through can be things that are nigh impossible to us as humans, that's why I love TAS playthroughs, always makes the main character or characters of choice depending on the game look much better.

It's like the 4th or 5th time i'm watching this awesome entertaining run! And it's just now that i realised you did more than just programming the TAS. You sir, are one of the most giving souls i've ever seen, all the work you put in this giant project day after day... I think we can officially say this is probably one of the hardest games (that's actually playable and well designed, and fun for humans to play to some degree) ever made.
