As an aviation professional this incident made me livid. It's like you said, it felt like he thought we were stupid. One extra thing to consider: let's say in theory Jacob was believed. Guess who would have been on the chopping block for the accident? Whatever aircraft mechanic worked on it last. The FAA would inspect the logbook of the aircraft and have a long, LONG talk with the mechanic who most recently performed powerplant related maintenance. And they could have had their livelihood interrupted because of a clout chasing shit head. And THAT sends me up the wall. We're out here pouring our soul into these birds, man, treat them with the respect we do.

We all hate Trevor. He destroyed an airplane that hasn't been made since the 40's.

I would say avoid that losers channel, but YT and the Feds fixed that issue... I follow some aviators that go to a lot of the places I go on motorcycles. Remember this well. He got busted by that community and gopro users worldwide. Painfully obvious and wasted a perfectly good antique plane. Disgusted a ton of YouTubers and aviators.

What has our world gone to? First somebody intentionally crashes a plane, then intentionally derails a train for YouTube. What’s next? Somebody purposely crashes a boat for view?. Jacob’s actions could’ve gotten someone innocent killed.

Crashing a vintage aircraft intentionally just to get more views/clout for their YouTube channel, that's a surefire way to tick people off.

It’s hard to say how one can call themselves a role model by being an unrepentant liar. Is it so hard to look into a camera and say “what I did was reckless and irresponsible. I promise to never do it again” he didn’t learn anything.

The crash also could've sparked a wildfire.
