Sha’Cari has always mentioned that Flo-Jo is her role model and it shows in her body mechanics when she’s sprinting. Developing the core and hip flexor strength allows the athlete to achieve an effortless Bounce and high knee pick-up which allows you to relax because ‘Speed’ becomes a by-product in an Effortless manner, that’s why there is NEVER tension in her face but rather a Masterful display of perfect Theatrical sprinting style (just like Flo-Jo). It’s an Art form only made possible by super core strength and hip flexor strength. Flo-Jo eventually grasped that technique later in her career after listening to her husband Al Joyner who was echoing what Bob Kersey her coach had been telling her all along. Kudos to Sha’Cari. God continue to bless her (and her Jamaican sisters Shelly-Anne and Shericka who truly love and protect her) 💫 🙌🏾💎💎💎👑👑👑❤️🙏🏾

I always thought that her stride looks different from everyone else’s like she looks upright and relaxed, but runs crazy fast yet everyone else looks like they’re trying to push their chest forward and run in a diagonal. Thank you for explaining.

Sha Carri is the new queen. Long live the queen of Atletics!! Your time to shine girl!!
  • @lyonheart84
That’s exactly the running style that Flo jo had towards the latter part of her career when she achieved her incredible times, she was virtually leaning backwards when she sprinted and flowed across the ground beautifully regardless of whether you think she may have used performance enhancers

Sha'Carri's talent is a gift from God. Mixed with coaching fine tuning running to an art form. That's why she keep getting faster.

I call her FloJo Jr..... She reminds me so much of FloJo with a small twist of Evelyn Ashford in the 80's..... This young lady has excel..,.. So many people doubted this young lady because like all of us she made mistakes..... I stand behind her 100 percent....🎉🎉🎉
  • Thanks for the analysis of Shacarri's sprinting technique. She does have great form. Young athletes take note.

It is widely known in the Athletics fraternity that Flo-Jo’s Sprinting technique is the best to date, Male or Female (this is NOT about ‘Speed’ just pure technique made possible by extreme core strength and hip flexor strength & flexibility) Once you feel your core and hip flexors you ‘Relax’, you glide, you bounce and propel forwards with high knee pick-up rather than using brute force to generate speed which only slows you down at the top end because your otherwise weak core and hip flexors can’t sustain the speed. An athlete could have the best natural speed but if the core and hip flexors are not strong enough they drop their knee at the top end and end up leaning toward to try and reach the line quickly (but then fail) ❤️🙏🏾

I'm a Shelly ann Fraser-Pryce fan but I have to say congratulations to Sha' carri with my whole heart. She was very talent but with some success she eventually became caught up in popularity and lost focus and went down in performance not fulfilling the potential everyone knew she had. She eventually caught herself and realized the road she was going down would eventually just destroy her career and once people think she just an empty vessel she would soon become unpopular and unmarketbale and so she changed direction.

It's impressive how relaxed her face is, you just perceive her tension which then melts into a sweet smile! I think she's ready to break the 100m record!
  • Same way flo jo ran smooth knees high and floating on the track she even ball her fist up the same way !! She’s studying the greatest to do it and that will make her great
  • @andreabryan9710
There was only one female sprinter that I find absolutely engaging to watch and that is Elaine Thompson. I have added Sha'Carri to this list and you just explained why. She runs like she did ballet as a child. I am so happy for this young lady. 🎉

World record is possible, her mechanics are great

Soy de México...cuando vi a Sha Carri me atrapó, su forma de desplazarse sobre la pista no la había visto antes en otras corredoras, esa aceleración después de los 50 metros no tiene comparación ...sigue deleitandonos Sha Carri...
  • @boredhcr2
Seeing all sprinters play a game of tag would be amazing
  • @sengamemela3720
Sha'carri is a genetic miracle ,your insightful analysis is equally breath taking...
  • @islanderATP
I really love your breakdowns, they are great tips for when I am on the field
  • @artfuldodger7747
So even when she’s celebrating towards the end of her races she’s still maintaining perfect form. Wow

Glad I found this video, I was watching her high school form and it’s so different. She ran with open palm and no knees lifts, I think her running form changed a bit at LSU, but now it’s so different. I am curious to see if she can lower her PB in the last DL races this season.
