Been on testosterone, estrogen and progesterone for 3 years. Started 2.5 years after menopause. Sleep!!! libido and energy restored.
  • I've been on testosterone for about 10 months. when I started my level was zero. it and the low estrogen had pretty much destroyrd my life. i take it with progesterone. I added an estrogen patch about 9 weeks ago. I haven felt this much like myself in years. - 51, hit peri meno around 39, menopause at 49. I plan to take this combo for the duration. I had always had depression, and adult diagnosed ADHD. both of these I had been managing successfully for 15 yrs - that went right out the window. and anxiety and literal RAGE set in. I couldnt sleep, was having horrific joint pain (3yrs in physical therapy 3 hrs per week graduated to pilates) I gained 60 lbs, my lipid panel went to hell in a handbasket, brainfog to the point it was debilitating, my libido tanked, social anxiety was also debilitating. I am slowly finding my way back. it was unacceptable how long it took me to find a dr who was knowledgeable and willing to listen to my symptoms. i ran into so much misinformation. its all over the inrternet including on very reputable medical referece sites. ladies we have to self advocate. no one is going to speak up for you. educate, advocate.
  • I go to my naturopath doctor and I have no problem getting any from him, they will run a blood test on your testosterone and hormone levels and if you’re low and you have symptoms of low testosterone like low libido or low energy levels, they can help you with that. Good luck.😊

My vaginal/urinate issues don’t get better with only Estrogen. I need Testosterone, too! We have androgen receptors all around this area.

Biote therapy is best. It’s compound therapy and lasts 4 months and it is very good. Pellets are the best. This will give you gradual amounts during the 4 months. I have a Nurse Practitioner that is very knowledgeable about this.

I take compounded hrt with testosterone. Has done nothing for my libido, except maybe to make it worse. I have male pattern baldness though, even though I'm a female.
  • I think balancing hormones for individual optimumization is key. So if I understand, you're saying if estrogen levels are replaced optimally that should balance your testosterone which is good to know. Are you familiar with supplementary DHEA ? I've heard women find it effective in menopause, but I read that it doesn't increase libido ? Appreciate your advice ~ TY

What about heart growing and facial heair growing on a woman on her 50s with normal testesterone levels for using it for the normal/light level gym training and well being?
  • Can you get a break through bleed on evorol Conti patches please thanks ♥️

Live in Bradford. How can I find a good naturopath close to me.
  • Do you have any information about Dhea? I'm 57 year old woman I take 10mg a day and feel fantastic. I'm just worried about side effects which I don't have any. I've been on it 2 months

Can you suggest what test you are doing to get estrogen levels? I have had surgical menopause and my gynaecologist tells me there’s no good lab test and to use symptom control only.
  • If you are on HRT but have low testosterone, can you take testosterone if you have androgenic alopecia? Thanks
