I believe that each squadron should have a dozen or more to fly along with each mission.Anything that will augment manned platforms is a plus.

We need drone ship aircraft carriers specifically designed to accommodate and deploy and maintain drones of all sorts. Keep what we already have and expand on that but a drone ship just for drones seems like it would be able to pack a lot together on one ship

YES, YES, very good. This ability of the design of a cheaper, and faster to make, LOYAL WINGMAN, is great. Reminds me of when Nianderthals developed a CORE of stone capable of making many different types of cutting techniecs from one stone, a litteral Swiss Army knife in stead of multible tools to be produced, Same as these drones with a common core like FORD CHASSIS? 50.000 years ago my friends.
