Clearly, Vader did not kill Kenobi; Kenobi gave himself up to the Force completely, and in so doing, he robbed Vader of his final victory.

When I first saw the movie in the theater, my thoughts were: (1) Obi Wan was buying time, keeping Vader focused on him so Luke could rescue Leia. (2) The old guy was in control of himself, and had a solid strategy, even maneuvering himself toward the hanger bay door for a possible escape. (3) Only when he saw the bay occupied by storm troopers, and Luke on the other side of them, did Obi Wan sacrifice himself, knowing that otherwise Luke and Leia would get killed trying to save him. Obviously, after the prequels, the incident takes on deeper importance. Yes, I absolutely want the next part. Thank you again for your ongoing loyalty to the outstanding story.

Obi-Wan heard Qui-Gon was throwing a giant force ghost party and was like hmmmmmmm old and busted or force ghost hunnies

Psychological warfare at its peak. Vader knew he was stronger and more skilled, and yet, his survival instinct told him not to underestimate Obi Wan again. No matter how stronger and more skilled he was, the memory of losing his limbs and been burned alive haunted him: this is the man that did that to me, even if he’s old and slower… he did that to me in a moment in which I also knew I was stronger than him.

I can't imagine overthinking for decades and calculating each move with such extreme effort during a fight...only to get smirked at and given the fight by your opponent 💀

On Musatfar: I have the high ground On the Death Star: I have the higher plane

Obi-Wan literally stood there and let Vadar kill him. Everything we know about Vadar's character, tells us he would not have been fine with that victory. He would definitely be questioning weather or not he was finally good enough to win. An the fact that Obi-Wan's body dissappeared, would have Vadar wondering even more if Obi-Wan just let him win.

Obi-Wan was not killed. He just played with Anakin's head once again and transcended into the Force. He disappeared before Vader could even connect and just took credit for that as a kill and trolled Luke with it. Obi-Wan accomplished his multi-faceted mission: Shut down the tractor beam, distract Vader from Luke to allow Luke and Leia's escape (remember fellow fans that these are Anakin's children. if they stayed too long in close proximity to Vader, Vader would sense the connection to them. Obi-wan knows his pupil. So he had to keep Vader distracted and focused completely on him) Obi-wan's joining with the Force was the ultimate distraction to the narrowly focused Vader and the final way to show Anakin that he will always be a student in the Force and ONLY a Master of evil. Kenobi's last mission accomplished in his final act as a Jedi on the physical plane of existence. Well played, Master Kenobi!

I definitely love to hear that. What you were just talking about at the end. There I like these particular ones where it delves into their psyche.

I do want the next video. Obi Wan allowed himself to be killed to bolster Luke and the rebellion as well as to instill fear into Darth Vader.
  • @yamahakid450f
You know, since he just dissappeared without explanation...I just want there to be a novel or fan made video where after this moment, Obi-Wan constantly visits and bothers Vader as a force ghost at the most inopportune times with no one else being able to see or sense him in the force... That way he has to try to ignore him or be made to look insane infront of everyone, including Sidious. Aswell as visiting Vader when he's alone, submerged in his bacta tank during his meditation sessions...and only ever referring to him as Ani, Anakin, or crispy...but crispy is reserved only for when he's out of his suit, cause we all know how Vader will kill anyone who he thinks may of gotten the shortest glimpse of him while out of his suit...But no matter what happens or what Vader says/asks, Obi-Wan only ever acts like an annoying friend/master, and he never under any circumstances tells him what he is, how he did it, or if it's actually happening or just inside his own head....causing Vader to be driven mad wondering if it's actually happening or if it's all some sort of hallucination caused by his subconscious.

I'd love to see what Vader does after their duel on the Death Star. I also really hope it'll be your next video.
