Thank you for keeping my sister's story alive and by helping to get more signatures on our petition since I'll be meeting again with the parole board this December, to continue the fight to keep this monster in prison!!

Once again, the police completely failed a murder victim. The fact that they never bothered to investigate Ryan, the person she supposedly ran off with, is just insane. That should've been the first step in verifying that she left of her own free will. Not to mention the fact that Sherry had an established history of constant contact with her sister and the rest of her family, and she suddenly drops off the face of the earth and never speaks to them again, and her husband and father-in-law show up saying strange things at her family gathering. Just...a million red flags. And they didn't even confirm her husband's alibi of being at work! That was the BARE MINIMUM of investigation. Just infuriating. That entire police department can rot in hell for this.

This is my family. My mom was a warrior in finding the truth. And I’m glad that we finally got some sort of closure, although we continue to mourn my aunts absence. I appreciate the comments of support towards the failed police department. I can only hope that with more awareness we can work to change how the police investigate missing persons. No family should have to endure the unknown as we did for so long.
  • This is my moms story. I love and miss her so much. I just learned about this episode from a comment on facebook on here so i came over to watch it. 😭💔 Thank you so much for putting this episode out here for people to see.
  • The officials in this case are corrupt. The fact that they can show their faces in interviews despite their shameful behavior is astounding.
  • @Areniapixie
I’m sorry but it’s absolutely disgusting when they go ahead and offer a deal without consulting the family of the victim. That should NEVER be an option 🤬
  • @rejay4406
How DARE that detective come on this interview and act as though he's in the right. He should be FIRED for how he handled this.
  • @caitolent
So you're telling me that a man who attempted to sexually assault his own wife's sister has been taking his grandchildren "camping" in the woods? He needs to be investigated for more than murder. I'm so glad that she never gave up.
  • @truthhurts3524
All the cops had to do was ask Kennths employers about his work schedule and that would have started it all. Took what, 12 years? Completely ridiculous. 🤬
  • It sickens me how Shelly’s kids grandfather can just take her kids camping right next to her own body and the grandfather just, doesn’t feel any guilt, hell the kids could’ve been running over where he buried her and they wouldn’t know
  • The amount of incompetence by the police in this case is breathtaking. Someone needs to get fired.
  • @lisalynnn
To have her children camp on her grave is just an extra layer of evilness
  • @alecdionne1489
The police faild her, the DA faild her and the fact they stand by their actions is scary. They dont even seem remorceful for the stupid mistskes they made. The only people who did not fail her was her famely.
  • @chrisgomez860
That DA is a dbag. He's acting like he's a freaking hero in this tragedy. No, you make a deal with a monster and don't bother to talk with the family of the victim YOU have been failing for years??? Infuriating!! That POS should NEVER leave a prison cell and hopefully there's a seat in hell reserved for the waste.
  • @anonymouse9833
The audacity of the DA and the police to act like they did anything right in this case is maddening, but the deal the DA made without even consulting the family is beyond cruel. It's so wrong to make a deal like that, forcing Shelly to relive her trauma every single year just to keep her sisters killer where he belongs... how do those idiots sleep at night?
  • I have never been more disgusted with police than I was watching this video. That chief sounded so nonchalant about abandoning the search after 5 days and circumventing the family's potential wishes. I have never been so appalled. Shelly is so strong and so brave for fighting her sister's fight, despite the efforts a truly despicable police force.
  • @ashlipope5079
My nephew was missing for over a year in the Denver Co area. The police refused to help and even trashed his vehicle and belongings when they were found in a ravine in the mountains. Finally someone on FB came forward 2 months ago. He had been murdered by his best friend and buried in concrete in their crawl space. The let the girlfriend off for her testimony and he's in jail on a million dollars bond. Although it wasn't as long.. I feel her sisters pain and pray for healing .
  • @chrislent6142
The Altoona police should be ashamed of their irresponsible behavior
  • @SailorMya
Honestly, how hard is it to just put someone believed to be missing under missing persons??? It is like they are so afraid of paperwork that they can't do the bare minimum and god forbid that person is a runaway and they spend a bit of manpower to show they are alright! They could have easily just tracked down the guy she "left" with but that was too much...
