Hello neighbor! Today I'm going to instruct any folks looking to change the oil on their Kohler 14RESA generator. As an off-grid family, we use our generator A LOT! Until our solar install is completed, we have been using this for 2 hours a night. We change our oil every 100-150 hours or so, depending upon the time of year. Please consult your owner's manual for special directions and suggestions on the timing of an oil change as well as the materials you will need to get the job done. This video is not a substitute for the manual.

Thanks for the video. Where I live, we call the "filter" you used a "funnel."

Judging by all the dust, I recommend you check/clean/or replace your air filter frequently. Thanks for posting.

You need to turn off the gen set incase power goes while you changing the oil or working on the gen set

Such a shame that none of these generator tutorials for oil change use Amsoil There is no other choice for #1 oil in the world.
