I decided not to pass by and make my own cover version.

She learned how to play the cello in 8 months, she took fencing lessons, she learned how to speak German, she choreographed herself in the dancing scene... I mean, who are we talking about? A genius? Yes.

The amount of effort she put into Wednesday was so impressive. Great actress and haven’t seen her in a lot but full top tier operator in the craft. Most certainly for this role.

Jenna Ortega learned how to play the cello for 8 months to get in the iconic role. Which tells you that her fingers on the bow & strings are indeed real. That's Impressive Talent. 🎻

I truly think this should be the best series on netflix right now they did very good acting and the fact that jenna never blinks its so impressive

I made a few calls and found out that Tim Burton got Ölveti Mátyás, a Hungarian classical cellist. to record most of the song, computer generated the rest, and then combined the two for a fantastic piece. To have Jenna take lessons on the cello, so that she could realistically show the mostly correct fingering positions, was a stroke of genius. Yes, Jenna can play the cello, as any beginner can play but, no, she did not record the piece you hear in the show. Still, the combination of Mátyás' playing, with computer generation added, and Jenna handling the cello as well as she does makes this a memorable and impressive piece.

Jenna is gonna be the next Hollywood it girl. Such a talent

I must say... I absolutely love Wednesday's taste in music.

this scene was hauntingly beautiful and gave me literal goosebumps

49 years old and binged this in a weekend. One of my favorite Burton works ever and Ortega just nailed everything about Wednesday and added so much flavor.

this and the Cello version of Nothing Else Matters at the end of one of the episodes was pure gold in Wednesday

This scene set the perfect tone for this entire show. Just finished it recently and one of the best things to come out of Netflix alongside Sabrina.

One imagined that we all had heard all great versions of Paint It Black by now. Then this show comes along & gives us one of the best versions of it ever made!

This show is a huge treat for long-time Addams Family fans.

Paint it Black is an absolute classic, but this quickly became my favorite version of the song! And the fact that Jenna actually had to learn Cello for it? Even better.
