  • I used the bridge in late 1969/1972 when it first opened, there use to be a .60 cent charge each way. Thank you for taking me back to Coronado.
  • I got a jar of sand from Coronado Beach at my home in Minnesota. It's white and very fine and soft. It gives me pleasant memories during our long harsh winters.

San Diego is a very beautiful place to check out. The city is a very laidback one and it has tons of things to do. Which is why I would recommend this place to anybody who is looking for a vacation getaway. Plus the best part is that I can fly from where I live to San Diego in an hour and five minutes!

My Uncle Wilton Stephenson was going to work (airplane mechanic) when the Coronado Bridge opened. He was the FIRST person to cross it! I'm his niece, Vanieca Martin.
