There were a couple of gimmicks that you even acknowledged are repetead, but I think the reason is because the bonus levels for Hack 3 said that all of the gimmicks are from the original "Hack".

Hack . . . what number now? YOU KILLED LUIGI! LUIGI NO! It's just hack? AND IT'S THE ORGINAL? Level 1! Collect 50 Purple Coins! We got em all! Level 2! Spin Jumps switch Blocks on and off! This is pretty cool! We beat it! Level 3! Luigi Escort Mission! Ignore that he killed him. Luigi Block! We did it! And Luigi looks so proud of himself helping Mario by Walking Forward. Level 4! WE CAN'T JUMP? Secret Pipe? In this day and age? "Everything's Fi- *Dies*" Comedic Timing at its finest. We beat it! Level 5! Wrap Around Screen! We got Squooshed! We got all the Yoshi Coins and beat it! Level 6! Auto Walker! This might take awhile. Anyways we did it. Level 7! RACING A BOO! CLOSE RACE! But we did it! Level 8! I think this might be a combination of all things, while going fast. First is the auto walker . . . not very fast. I kinda forgot everything from some of the older hack games we did, so i can't really choose. LUIGI ESCORT MISSION PART 2! BOO RACE! PAR- wait I just did this joke . . . dangit. Wrap Around and No Jumping! We beat it! Same level . . . but small? Alright then. If it's one coin then that would be kinda funny. WE BEAT IT! WE GOT DONE TRICKED! My favorite gimmick was probably the wrap around screen. Anyways i hope more of these Hack games get made, since they are really awesome.

i love watching large portions of videos at 2x speed to make the runtime padding bearable. it's such a wonderful viewing experience.

While you wait for another one of these, you could challenge yourself with original Super Mario World, and see if you can get through levels in certain ways.

I feel 3 or 4 of the gimmicks are inspired by other games in this Hack. Purple Coins being from Super Mario Galaxy for obvious reasons, spinning being like ON/OFF blocks feels to be inspired from "Think Before You Spin" mission from Mario Galaxy 2. The Boo race is possibly inspired from Super Mario Bros. Deluxe for the same reason. Maybe a stretch but beating the final level only as Small Mario could simply be inspired from Daredevil modes.

If I had to guess, the first level probably doesn't have any Yoshi coins, so the 1 coin they add to the coin counter, didn't interfere with the gimmick.

If you look at the spin-jump escort part from pitch-meeting point of view, Luigi would be standing triumphant, while Mario is recovering from dizziness. On the other hand if you look at the race against boo, you can definitelly tell such things didn't ever happen in Excite Bike.

Auto walk Mario gave me serious Lemmings vibes, as did the Luigi escort mission. I really liked Lemmings as a kid lol. Also the Boo race threw me back to Super Mario Bros. Deluxe's Boo race so that was pretty fun to see too :_btgWin:

9:54: He applied too much hair gel today and it made his head extra slick. I mean, you see those glasses right? Cool guy like that has to be using a ton of hair gel. It's basically the law.

I love the ones where the character drops into a pit and wraps around to the top of the screen like a Portal mechanic and I HATE that you purposely dropped Luigi in that one section...

When i saw the title i thought " i waited just for THE SAME VIDEO AS MARIO BUT HE CAN"T STOP RUNNING" but then I realized it said "jump" my good mood came back and i loved the video! your doing great!! and I can' beleive you beated this rom hack. It took me a 3 days and I didn't even finish it

So sad that the Hacks are over for now. It was such a fun series. I hope there are some other good hacks that are like this. I would definitely want to see them!
