The saddest part is that if you think about it kaori really did love him. Using the last of her time on earth, to try and help him. Even tho she knew her time was almost up. She knew she was going to go. But she also knew that she wanted to help heal Kosei from the past. But had to keep a more distant relationship with him. To avoid him feeling more pain than she wanted him to after her death.Koari didn’t want to hurt him. She didn’t want to them to fall in love only for her to die. So she said to she like kosei’s friend. So kosei couldn’t get close to her because she’s my friends girlfriend. So that she remained close enough to her that she could heal her and not feel that much pain. But still close enough. The fact that she cared enough to spend the last time of her life on this earth to help him shows that she truly did love him.
