Hi guys, in British Columbia we call that log that you are cutting, cotton wood. Our Aspen had smooth white bark. Cotton wood has a sticky pod that sometimes sheds and will stick on your car, out hair ( or beard ). The ones that stay on the tree will germinate into a fluffy creation that looks like cotton, and the leaves are much larger than Aspen. Love your videos.

In my neck of the woods, Alberta, we use aspen (poplar) for a cut of lumber called oilfield plank. 3x12. 16' long, used in the oilpatch here forever. Poplar are our most abundant hardwood we have around here.

It's early Tuesday morning, a great way to start the day. A video from my favourite channel. The new teeth make a significant difference. I machined 36 metres of Oregon yesterday for my bedhead project, which was very therapeutic for me. Keep on keeping on!!
