If you’re used to using DIM for swapping items and loadouts, it’ll probably be broken for the first day or two. Pick your pve loadouts for the story, move all of those items to your character, and save in-game loadouts so that you can have loadouts to play with until prismatic unlocks and changes everything.

For the first time I'm not hoarding bounties or preparing for day 1 and is a breath of fresh air. Going into the xpac stress free.

Great info, only thing I was suggest differently is that you don't actually do the campaign first on the character you're planning to play in the raid. If you start with another char first, get to max PL you can, then do your other alternate, and finally to your main character last, you'll get your PL on you main character as high as possible. If we had 10 days before the raid (thus having a weekly reset) then I'd recommend main -> alt -> alt and reversing that for the second week.

an alternate empire hunt bounty precision kill cheese: if you pick up the associated weapon quest then you'll make progress with the bounty precision hit requirement while doing anything on europa... it's not as fast as your suggested master cheese, but if you actually want rolls of the gun (for example biting winds) then it's an alternate option. just hang onto the weapons quest until you're finished with the precision kill requirement on the weekly bounty; then visit variks to claim your gun and free up the quest slot.

One really important tip is to make sure to only have 7 bounties for your dailies. If you complete all 8 hounties but theyre from last season, youll get drop at last seasons power level

The only thing you NEED to do maybe a month from now is bounty prep if you want to day 1 raid. Thats it. Other than that just do onslaught, get some fun weapons, finish content you want to do and have fun. Youll be able to play final shape just fine.

another trick to consider: on your alternates you can complete some exotic gun quests to step N of N, but don't cash them in. just shred the quest and it'll be waiting for you at the quest archive. this gives you a few more banked options for powerful drops: chaparone, arbalest, sweet business, deathbringer. there are a few exotic guns which don't drop at level though (malfeasance doesn't... and it's a chore to finish its requirements, so don't do that one).

Re: empire hunt bounties... you can also just pick up the quest (not weekly bounty) from Variks, and then regular patrol on Europa counts.

To be clear when joining up with your buds to dump bounties I'm pretty sure you need to be at least L5 on the season pass for Shared wisdom to kick in.

btw i tracked hawthorne's random bounties this season, and one of the three crucible bounties had a 14 week gap between its appearance this season. i wish these were a rotation rather than random, it's so hard to ensure you get all three clan crucible and clan gambit bounties.

What happened to the program that used to tell you where you scored for your progress for a new DLC. It would tell you what you needed in resources like ascendant shards , upgrade modules etc. Does anyone know what I am talking about?
