Baby Elk Up Close!!!

I stumbed across this calf elk and it's mother while bear hunting in idaho. As an Elk hunter, I have a huge respect for these animals, so it was great to be able to see the next generation up close, enjoy!

I've got a baby at the bottom of our front steps right now! Just precious. Mom isn't far away and we threw a flake of alfalfa for her. Last time it took several hours for the mom to come and get it. If you find one, don't pet it and just leave it alone and know the mom will come sooner or later.

Where I work on a ranch on the Oregon coast, we have 13 babies on a small field. Very cute. Vid was great thanks.
