Mystic clown “nothing can stop the mad attack of this powerful creature” - 1500 ATK

It's an eclipse. Wicked Avatar is an eclipse. The Wicked Gods are counters to the Egyptian Gods. Ra is the Sun. Avatar is the Sun blacked out.

Why the Wicked Avatar looks like a ball is kinda cool. In the manga it is in Yugioh R I think it was called, when he was put onto the field he would mimic the strongest monster on the field. So say you had something like Masterpiece on the field and it was the strongest, the Wicked Avatar would turn into an All black version of Masterpiece. I love the card so much.

If im wrong im sorry. But i believe the gimmic in the manga was that the wicked avatar takes the shape of the strongest monster on field. Its default shape is a shpere.

Wicked Avatar has a special place in my heart. I remember getting that in a 2008 Shonen Jump in a Block Bluster as a kid when I used to build forts and watch land before time on VHS.

Pretty sure the concept behind wicked avatar's art is that its an amorphous blob of evil that takes the shape of whatever the strongest monster on the field is.

D-did you just say Mokey Mokey is terrible?
  • @FartingSpider12
Mokey-mokey is a god and I'll thank you to never speak such blashpemy again, sir!

Man, i see two problems with these cards: First, their Special Summoning restriction. Second, if Konami just took a little time to just twic them a little before release, their effects would good to broken: - Dreadroot: Halve the ATK and DEF of all monsters your opponent controls (would actually be a little playable). - Eraser: ....... equal to the number of cards on the field x 1000 (would definitely see play in a lot of decks). - Avatar: .........cannot activate Spell, Traps or Monster effects.......(it would be broken and banned for life)

These cards were a lot more memorable for those of us who read Yugioh R, which is where these came from. Yugioh R was a canon side story written by Kazuki Takahashi, and the volume releases of the manga came with these as promos.
  • What if the eraser was kind of backwards to what it is. For each empty card slot your opponent controls he gains atk points, which demands your opponent play extra cards if they cannot immediately deal with him, which increases the potential payoff of his other ability when he gets destroyed.

To explain the artwork: In many Japanese Stories, Evil is depicted as eclipse, as void, spherical darkness with the potential to become anything. ... Wow, when I started this comment, I thought I could come up with more, but... Well. Okami, Kirby, and several different games also have a similar simple but absolute spherical design for its absolute evil.

"Why nobody plays the wicked gods" - they bad the end
  • @itsjustroberto
Next time on why nobody plays why nobody believes me when I say i'm not a pack openning channel
  • Back in my day, Wicked Avatar was the best card when we played at lunch break in high school
  • Does it really matter how much attack The Wicked Avatar has? By default it can attack over any monster in attack position, so that's neat. I feel it could serve as a decent wall against your opponent getting out their own high attack monster to kill you with, as you literally can't kill it by having higher attack.
  • @Uria-jz1gu
wicked avatar is supposed to take the form of the higest face up monster on the field. Thats why he's in a sphere mode
