Listening to Death is probably one of the easiest way to reach peace of mind...

Can definitely hear a Judas priest influence on the last track

This album is a perfect example of musical perfection.

A total masterpiece from start to end. Chuck Schuldiner was one of the best musicians to ever walk on planet Earth. PERIOD.
  • Chuck was so desperate to end Death and move on to Control Denied, that this album's lyrics and themes, all the way down to the title represent his anger and disappointment. He felt that Symbolic wasn't marketed well, and he hated being strictly associated with Death Metal. But I have to say, this album is the bomb. It was a blast to listen to, and a perfect finale for Death. Symbolic was supposed to be the final album, and Perennial Quest did a great job and kicks a ton of ass, but A Moment of Clarity is a beautiful ending for probably the most dramatic Death album ever. This album was an awesome goodbye from Death and I can't overstate just how great a job they did with this unique, powerful, aggressive, and dramatic album.

My condolences go out to his family. What he did to rock music and the influence is never ending. Thank you and never let Chuck be forgotten.

  • Richard Christy never gets the credit he deserves for this album. One of the most complete drummers in metal. Prog, death, thrash, jazzy at time, his drumming here is simply innovative. Modern death metal super-technical, super-fast, blast-machine drummers should give a careful listen to this album. Oh and also props to Scott Clendenin (RIP) for his amazing bass lines and tone.

It's stupid how good the death discography is, and this album is the absolute perfect way to end it. It's insanely good, it's beautiful.
  • Death is a Death Metal band talking about Spiritual things not just gory shit
  • this is the ultimate best Death Prog record of all time. Still today there is nothing like it.
