This song has been my checkpoint for too many years to count. I always come back to it to realign my mind.

David Wise said that this song was the most difficult to produce!

Isn't it amazing the fact that we used to play this game when we were very young and then we listen to this today and realise we grew older and so much has changed in our lives and yet the game still is the very same from a lifetime ago.. its music will probably keep playing, stuck in people's heads for years to come. long after our lifetime... Without a single change...
  • I have zero nostalgia for this series (never played it). Nevertheless, just recently discovered this brutally amazing soundtrack

Man, this brings me back to a time when my family was still together and the only thing I cared about was playing video games and watching pokemon/yugioh after school.
  • David Wise really knows how to invoke places and moods with his music. This track clearly brings to mind a forest full of mystery and danger but also wonder and beauty. It's a perfect fit for the part of the game it's played in.

This song instantly takes me back to being in 5th grade and growing up in NY during the ‘Blizzard of 1996.’ I was so happy for the snow days because I was able to play this game each day during what would have been school time. My brothers and I would take turns and it was just so much fun. I have played a lot of great games from those with incredible depth to them (Witcher 3, Mass Effect, and Bioshock to name a few) to the games mostly about being fun without caring too much about depth in story-telling and themes (Mario games, Banjo-Kazooie, and most Zelda games), but even among those greats and personal favorites, Donkey Kong Country 2 is perhaps my all-time favorite, and it just might be the greatest game ever made.

BRB, tearing up. But seriously, DKC2 is both my favorite game and game soundtrack ever. You’re doing God’s work.

Timeless, ageless, and I hope these tracks forever remind someone out there of a warm and happy memory in just the right time in their life. Be it to drag them from their lowest or elevate their highest high, thanks for bringing us this. Cannot overstate the love here. <3

This song was way ahead of it's time. It sounds like it could be released today. David Wise was on another level when he produced this.

You come for the gameplay, but stay for the music.
