I think the author seems to have somewhat overestimated the combat effectiveness of the Kazakh army......In fact, the Kazakhstan army is very corrupt and I doubt how many tanks and armored vehicles our country has in the armored forces that would be useful in a war if the Russians really started to invade.

My cousin in law is Kazakhstan he had nothing positive to say about his years in military. Just a few things he mentioned; Lack of training and funding, outdated failing vehicles, rampant disorder in unit function, greedy exploitative officers, anti religious sentiment especially against Christians.
