For years, I assumed that it was Just Lisbeths exaggerated POV. I recently realized that this is her doing a Minigame. lol

I always wondered why someone trapped in this world would get a standard ass day job like a blacksmith. Now I know. And I absolutely endorse it.

Not only was this scene hilariously over-the-top and awesome, it also did a great job of showing how OP Lisbeth is as a blacksmith.

So crafting in SAO involves playing a rythm game, space invaders and an over the top fighting game at the same time? Damn that's intensive.

I can't believe it's taken me 7 years to realize that the announcer at the end is saying "metallurgy" and not "fatality". That's brilliant. I love that.

Now there's actual credence behind Lisbeth's claims of "The best blacksmith in the game". In the original, it it seemed kinda baseless if everyone could blacksmith, there isn't anything to distinguish one person's smithing from another person's. Now we know it's because she's the most seizure-proof.

When you realize that Tiffany likely had to do something similar to this when appraising Guilty Thorn and while he was in his mini-game, didn't even hear Kirito make the crack: "Wow, I can see you've really mastered your craft."

As the customer watching this blacksmithing crafting system would be so boring just standing there while they play a mini-game lol

I'm convinced Kayaba made this minigame during his sleep deprived state, which is why it's a weird mishmash of different games. And if that's the case, it just makes this scene way more amazing

I love how at the end she’s just “aaand we’re done.” No need for praise or anything, she already knows how good she is. And Kirito, as big a gaming nerd he is, KNOWS what she just had to do to make it happen. Why else isn’t he throwing sass at her while she’s working?

Me, crafting a sword: "Hold on, I have to cast Tyrant's Blaze to increase the purity of the metal, Core Proficiency to regain mana, and then I have to perform Sharpening 6 times exactly or else the blade won't turn out perfect. But if I use Metallic Origin I can increase the blade's durability before my mana reserves deplete entirely."
