Somehow people forgot what happened to Belogorod attack or whatever it names was months ago , good for PR but disaster all around and fail to produce any meaningful impact on the war that could turn the tide .

i am not sure why this is such a big deal...even in the spring of 1945, Germany had s surprise offesive called Spring Awakening in the Eastern front, which had attained initial good results. 2 months later, Germany surrendered. IF Urkrainians can sustain this offensive for 2 more months, then it is real. Otherwise, it is just a minor blip in the overall picture.

Now Ukraine has one more front to support…
  • 50 sq km in the 1st day is about the same as the Kharkiv offensive, no? This is just a sideshow like Kharkiv, the main event is in Donetsk oblast.
  • @meegz149
You were right about Ukraine making a counteroffensive soon… They are gonna tire themselves out though.
  • @fourtysix4646
I have a feeling this is only going to boost Russia’s manpower, locals from that region will volunteer now that they see the war has come to their doorstep. I don’t see this being a smart tactical move for Ukraine in the long run.

It's still for PR purposes, for their public and benefactors ... Russians will adjust and strike-back 5 times harder, wait and see ... I'll apologize if the prediction doesn't appear.
  • @ImmortalKitsune
On the contrary, I think you're being far too hasty to jump from your original judgment, which was the correct one. That they're throwing so many forces into this hopeless offensive makes it an even bigger mistake than if they were just doing another cross-border raid. Don't let your desire for "big-arrow offensives" to happen cloud your judgment.
  • @wildsurfer12
The fact that Sky News and the BBC haven’t reported on any of these Ukrainian gains in this apparent offensive means that it’s doomed to fail.
  • @nerinine
Russia is a vast country. There's always places more vulnerable than others.

Great updates, no better person than one who rechecks their analysis to better at what they pursue. Thank you Weeb

This is what has been talked about since mid-may. UA's accumulation of manpower there because of the Kharkov incursion made this possible. If they are able to secure and hold the gains is totally irrelevant, it's pointless and will cost them a lot of manpower and equipment.

Creating a caldron for themselves inside Russia. Very smart!!! The ultimate in military 'intelligence.'

"The Ukrainian Armed Forces used their last reserves on the border with the Kursk region. After their destruction, Russian troops will be on the final stretch of the Special Military Operation, according to the commander of the "Akhmat" special forces, Alaudinov."
