I have heard so much about how cool and interesting Gravity Falls is, so after all of this time, I finally sat down and watched the show and I must say, there was a lot to this show I didn't expect to see. From the mysteries to the characters to the setting, Gravity Falls is one heck of a ride. Today, let's go into my thoughts on the show and what made it so special.

  • Thanks so much for watching! What are some moments from Gravity Falls that truly left you speechless?

Fun Fact: The Mystery Shack is based on the Oregon Vortex, a tourist trap that Alex Hirsch encountered while visiting Oregon during his college years.

Something that's impossible to re-experience is the time between episodes (and seasons). Talking to other fans, speculating, and having to wait literally years for answers is a completely different experience than binging the entire series over a weekend.
  • Gravity Falls is such an amazing show to watch. The show maybe ran for two seasons, but the characters, the story and humor, and the cryptic messages and clues makes it even more interesting. Dipper has the brains, and Mable has the personality.
  • Its so easy to forget that Gravity Falls came out 8 years ago, as of me writting this, and that it had a mere 40 episodes to its name It feels like such a complete and timeless story.

This show had only 2 seasons and somehow the amount of stories managed to convince me there were at LEAST 4. Well done.

It really breaks my heart to see what Disney used to be and what they've become. This is definitely one of if not the best animated series I ever watched on Disney.

Alex Hirsch is such a great creator, and I love that he and Justin Roiland are irl friends and reference each other's work.
  • Gravity Falls is amazing. Truly left me wanting more. Also, fantastic supporting cast. Genuinely hard to pick a favorite character.
  • A show that literally will be remembered for generations to come. For the old fans to enjoy rewatching and new ones to discover. Gravity Falls is a show you'll never find again.

One thing to add on for the journal 3 book is that there was also a special edition where if you shined a black light under the pages you can find secret information like the show did from season 2.

its hard to express just how much they nail the Oregon vibe on every level just the silhouette of the tree line gives me feels as someone that grew up there.

The monologue Dipper has on the bus in the last episode always gives me goosebumps even just thinking about it. It was the PERFECT ending.
  • Honestly surprised you didn’t watch this sooner. Def up your ally. Great show that Disney doesn’t deserve.

I feel like I say this with every other video of yours, but I need to rewatch this badly. It's on my top 3 favourite animated shows of all time and it's just so damn good. So happy you liked it, thanks for the video!

I loved this show, cried at the ending. Had the fun bits and the scary bits, had love, friendship and family . One of the parts I won't forget is when Grunkle Stan first opened the portal and Dipper and Mabel found out. Dipper told Mabel to shut it down but Stan told her to trust him that he would never hurt them . Knowing how close Mabel is to Stan and how she just let go saying she is literally putting her life in his hands was so deep. Dipper almost ran mad 😂😂😂

I watched Gravity Falls week to week. It was a show I genuinely looked forward to watching when I got home from work. It was obviously a show to be used as a gateway to sci-fi and even horror at some points for kids but didn’t dumb itself down so anyone can watch it. Alex Hirsch created one of the best “kid’s” shows ever and I’m really happy I experienced it and got involved with the community.

I'm totally surprised you didn't watch this show until recently this show is a gem and i love it. Is so weird that this show was short in terms of episode count. I really love how Axel got inspired by his life that's actually great and it fits the amazing vibe that the show went with and how many episodes had random occurrences that shouldn't be that interesting. Soos is an angel and nobody can argue with that don't even try to but the whole cast is really on point can't love it even more. Season 2 was the biggest acid trip ever and I loved every second of it even decided to watch Weirdmaggedon before it even aired here on Latin America. Totally forgot about the shorts man those were really funny. Hoo boy Alex got to voice Bill again in the Simpsons nice to see things going full circle. This show was a great breath of fresh air in the network i really wanna go and watch it like it is my first time again. Great vid Jordan

What made this show special to me was first of all, the art. My goodness, is it gorgeous to look at! The backgrounds are absolutely incredible to look at! That, and the music really bring me in, especially during the more dramatic moments. But most importantly, it’s beachside of the relatability I had with characters such as Dipper, Grunkle Stan, and Ford. I saw much myself inside of them I haven’t really seen before in a cartoon. Yes, Dipper is the brains. But with that comes a blunt, curious, analytical, brave, and kind character who stood his ground, and had a deep passion for what he loved. (Interestingly enough, his passion for the paranormal and mysteries is the kind of passion I have for art and animation.) Grunkle Stan is a wildcard who shamelessly gets gets away with a lot of scams, yet I did not expect him to bear so much pain and love for his family. This was beautifully captured by the episode, “Not What He Seems”. I very much ended up loving Ford for the same reasons as Dipper. The knowledge he gains from his adventures in Gravity Falls and in other dimensions is intriguing, the experiences he has with Bill are terrifying, and, like Dipper, he has a harder time making connections with people in the ways the other characters can. Oh, and Bill could not be a more perfect villain! He has the wits of all three characters, from a scamming, analytical, intelligent perspective. Yet he cranks it up to the max by trying to destroy the world through chaos, not by seeking any benefit or wonders within it. I guess in order for me to get into the show, it has to do with putting yourself in the characters’ shoes, and watching it through their perspectives.
