Hey Guys

This is not an explanation, this is simply a chit chat with my supporters on my experience from Natural to Relaxed after 10 + years. In this video I'm 1 day post relaxer. I relaxed my hair on March 26, 2023 after a 16 week stretch.

Aug 8, 2022 (Virgin relaxer using just for me texture softener)
Dec 4, 2022 (Relaxer touch up using just for me texture softer)
March 26, 2023 (Relaxer touch up using using Photo Specific relaxer)

I started watching your videos TEN YEARS AGO. Literally the other day, I was trying to find your channel and couldn’t. Got on YT today, and your video was the first one lol. Natural or relaxed, your hair is beautiful
  • Nothing "unnatural" about relaxing yoir hair, but people in America like to complicate stuff, when in reality there’s so many people ( like Hispanic women or even white ones ) who do use other kind of perms to make their hair super straight, why nobody talks about that? Just because they have lighter skin? So people assume that’s their "natural" hair. I’m Arab ( North African ) and most of people are Middle Eastern looking, with a hair type that goes from curly to kinky, and most of them use perms all the time to straighten it ( like a Keratin treatment that’s basically full of chemicals ). Why it is a problem only for Black women? If they relax their hair "Oh that’s unnatural". People can wear their hair however they want.
  • Honey, no judging here. Your hair looks great. You do you and what makes you comfortable.
  • Thank for your comments. I have been natural for 8 years. I could never find a style that I actually felt comfortable with. I would go from weave to braids. I am allowing my beautiful gray hair to grow out and I want to be straight and silky with it. I enjoyed the natural hair journey, been there, done that, ready to move on… Again, thank you…

Hi love your video! I just relaxed my hair a week ago and I look forward to watching your videos and learning how to care for my relaxed hair. I too was natural and had a lot of shrinkage.

  • @L1558
Oh my goodness welcome back! It's so good to see you here again❤
  • Hey Kiki, Thanks so much for sharing with us. I can remember you being on your transition journey (I was too at that time) and i could relate alot with you. I had never seen my "natural texture" of my hair, yes i always had and i didn't want to "big chop" in the same way others were. I am still natural but my routine has change and i don't fuss with my hair as much and i also blow dry my hair more often and before i was team No heat LMBOOO.. Thanks again for sharing and i am glad your back. OH YEAH: Shrinkage is definitely real and alot of times unwanted HAHA

Hey girl! I'm just now seeing this. Your hair looks so pretty 😍 I definitely feel you on the shrinkage. My hair shrinks about 4xs it's length...lol. I'm used to it, but it can be frustrating when that's not the look you're going for. Glad to see you back! FYI: YouTube did NOT send me the notification that you posted. I just decided to check for you. I'm gonna hit the notification bell cuz they don't let your subbies know unless they hit the bell.
  • @lalarose9907

So good to see you again. I’ve been subscribed for over 10 years
  • I feel what you're saying completely! I've been natural for 13 years now, but not by choice, but because of medical reasons. I experienced breakage, and I was diagnosed with yeast fungal scalp infection 13 years ago and treated with perscribed topical medications, and was told by my Dermatoligist, never to use relaxers again. But, I'm going to start back relaxers soon, Because I"m tired of wearing wigs and trying to find a natural hair styles that fit my face. I missed being relaxed and not having to struggle. I'm going to try the Phyto 2.
  • My daze it's been a whole minute since I watched your video...I followed your journey from day one...not watched nature hair videos for years as I now have my own channel.. budget related.. Lovin your hair and you look so good. I've been natural 14 years...and as long as you look after your hair.. I'm here for the tips... looking good Kiki
