Hello chaps! Today, we present to you another Hearts of Iron documentary. This one's pretty unrealistic, because Italy actually do pretty well. Thanks to Paradox for sponsoring this madness, they're very good sports. Check out the new DLC "Blood Alone" here, to support the channel: play.heartsofiron.com/Squire

We'd like to thank Paradox Interactive for sponsoring this one, as well as our friends at The Tank Museum, The Operations Room...oh, and Lazerpig obviously! This must be one of the greatest second world war history YouTube based video game collaborations of all time, and I don't say that lightly. Anyway, go and inspect the new DLC for Hearts of Iron here, to support the channel: play.heartsofiron.com/Squire

The tank museum getting involved is brilliant
  • @nickm5647
“Don’t mind my mustache, it’s a prosthetic, I lost mine in the war” now that’s a great improvised line
  • @nailboard6492
You got one of the most respected tank historians in the world to sit in a Jeep and make "vroom" noises respect
  • 9:55 When invading the UK "The Italians storm the beaches, only to take one look at the place, and decided they don't actually want it." Smooth.
  • It took me far to long to realize he wasn’t actually speaking Italian
  • @Ezra411st
I love how you guys got the tank museum to agree to doing this, and it looks and sounds real. GREAT JOB ON THIS
  • @cterrel
This is so incredible. It's like turning a Paradox game into "Drunk History"
  • Watching the tank museum guy climb in the truck and start making war sounds like a little boy made my day. Thank you
  • Lazerpig voicing a character called Fraser mcswine is my favorite detail of this skit.
  • @masterman1001
I like how they changed "Operation Barbarossa" into "Operation Barbarossi", even though Barbarossa (red beard) is already in italian.
  • "if only the Wehrmacht high command hadn't actually allocated him to a militia division where he sat in Magdeburg eating cheese" sounds to me like the Wehrmacht got their priorities straight. Cheese is the greatest gift bestowed on mankind and Heinz should be grateful it exists. It also sounds like something the Wisconsin National Guard would do to train in order to be fully dedicated to the state.

Lazer Pig, The Tank Museum and Squire, the trio crossover I didn't know I needed
  • I’ll have you know Fascist Italy was an exceptional fighting force. They were capable of defeating half a dozen modern 18th century militaries. It’s not Mussolini’s fault that the US, UK researched 20th century tech 50 years before he did, they cheated! I mean you try spawning on an Island or Isolated continent and see if you don’t win. Absolutely brilliant! Awesome you got the tank museum folks in on this masterpiece!
  • @kemsprite520
never disappoint guys love that you can get the tank museum involved we love seeing Mr. Willey
  • Absolutely legendary collaboration fellas! “I have over 800 hours in this game, you scrub. Prepare to get a right good pasting” 😂💀
  • @wildough
Loved how David Willey sounded a little peevish about having more important things to do and then did his silliness in the jeep. He had me believing. Great job by everyone involved!
