You know her name.

You’re on your way home and suddenly, your phone buzzes. Everyone around you looks down at their screen, and you know it is now everywhere: on your social media feed, on TV, even on traffic boards. You don’t pay much attention to all of it but still skim through the description while walking, just in case. When you finally look up from your screen, a weirdly familiar car catches your eye and you call 911. A kidnapped child has been saved thanks to the alert on your phone. This story is not uncommon, and it all started in Texas, in 1996 with the unsolved murder of 9 year old Amber Hagerman.

This really made me tear up, mostly when they found the small child in the hotel/motel. Rip Amber, thank you for helping the children 🫶

This is why I have absolutely no pity for child molesters or kidnappers. You lose your right to live when you hurt a child.

“We want first-time (child sex) offenders, life in prison without parole.” Amber’s mom just said the solution. These type of child murderers had previous related offenses and were often let off the hook on the first go.

I've always wondered why the amber alert was called "Amber". Its so nice to see that Amber's mother didn't just lay back and do nothing, but rather, she fought hard so that no other child would go through the same thing. Truly deserves respect.

I don’t want to go into very specifics . But my brother was abducted in 2001. We have a similar alert system in my state/country. He was found within the hour, in a man’s car at a local football oval. The man was there to buy drugs from someone and left my 6yo brother locked in his car. We lived in a small town, everyone knew everyone. A man and woman walking their dog recognised him based on his description on local radio. The man refused to leave the area near the car, the woman ran to call the police. I am so grateful for it. He was scared, but he was not hurt. I imagine someone like Amber resulted in the system being adopted here, saving my brother. RIP Amber, thank you for saving so many children.

I started crying when the mom said "whenever a child is found alive, i just look up to heaven and say: you did it again baby girl." That touched my heart.
  • Now I know who the Amber is behind the Amber Alert.
Her legacy has indeed helped many children and families.
  • It’s officially been 28 years since ambers case. I just want to send prayers to her mom. Now because if the alert we can find so many children. Thank you amber. Fly high. 🕊️

I got an amber alert a few hours ago. 43 year old man kidnaps 13 year old girl. She was last seen 4 days ago and I’m honestly scared for her and I hope she’s ok.

I feel gutted for Amber's brother. I can't imagine how much that must've weighed on him, and at such a young age too. I hope he knows it wasn't his fault and he's got therapy for the situation.

“you did it again baby girl”
    literally broke me into pieces
R.I.P Amber Hagerman you saved the lives of many children sweetheart
  • @robbiejay
What kind of maniac grabs a child from mother's arms and expects not to be found??
  • @Ho3kysdatherian
I don't rly get the point of kidnapping and then killing the person you kidnapped.. What did she do to deserve this?..
  • @shirin9452
Donna saying that when Amber Alert brings another child home safe she looks up and says you did it again, baby girl… that really made the tears spring to my eyes
  • @sincerely_sepita
I feel so bad for the little brother, I'm sure he's still blaming himself for something that was not his fault. The damage these nasty beings have on the lives of their victims is unbearable.
  • @NatGeodeWild
I think this might be the first time I've cried to a true crime video... Amber has saved so many children. I hope she's resting in peace.
  • @yazhlinib9321
