    For the "Water bath trick" the reason why the water can't go inside the cup is because the air takes up the space and can't escape, hence the reason why you don't see a lot of the air bubbles heading to the surface. IF you were the put the cup in the water at an angle, the air has a chance to escape and give the water a chance to take place inside the cup. Does that make sense?

    As water rises into the cup, it compresses the air inside it. The compressed air exerts equal pressure on the water and will not let the water go deeper into the cup. Thus, we can say the air pressure inside the cup restricts the water from getting inside the cup.

    I always thought the cup and towel trick was common sense. I used to do that with a bucket in my pool and I’d even go under with it so I could breathe

    A melted chocolate bar is different than the tempered chocolate one uses for choclate molds and decor. It won't pour or set the same way

    Water always goes to the lowest point possible, so it makes sense why it wouldn't be pushed up, especially since air is always above water, if that air can't escape the water can't fill it anyway

    2:30 It's a combination of air pressure and buoyancy. The air is lighter than the water. The water pushes on the air, but the air cannot flow down, so anything inside the cup stays dry due to the air not moving out of the cup. It's why the boat walking underwater scene in the first pirates movie wouldn't work. That amount of air would simultaneously be too buoyant and float to the top, and not have enough oxygen for them to breathe due to it all being the same air.
