I recently repurchased this game and I got addicted, so to compensate the time wasted on it, I decided to make a video discussing all about it LOL.
A lot of these facts are things I didn't really notice when I was like 8 years old (which was when I first owned it), and this is me noticing them now since I'm older and with a different perspective.
AND
It's because I can compare it now to the newer Mario Kart titles lol...

That bottom screen was a godsend lol, whenever I had a blooper attack I'd just start using it and I'd forget I could look back up again

Since I've gotten used to Mario kart Wii, I need to remind myself not to forcefully shake my DS every time I'm launched into the air.

I lost the game card for years, and my dad found it this year and I was so freaking happy.

The “Items” stat is for time trials. Depending on what the meter length was, you would get a certain amount of mushrooms. (Short=1 Mush, Med.=2 Mush, etc.)

Seriously, was I the only person who new about the pressing the button on balloon battle??

Don't forget that this is the only game that let's you have other characters standard karts with different characters. Also, the items stat is for Time Trial mode and says how much mushrooms you start out with. Also, we need R.O.B back.

One thing regarding the lack of animation for CPUs, their karts also have blocky tires. I used to notice such things myself when I was into it!

I also recently noticed, the AI karts don’t have wheel animations. It’s got nothing to do with what kart they have, just the fact that they are AI.
