The funniest part is that Pee-Wee is the least cringe of all of them. 😂
  • Pee Wee is not the only one acting. But he was the only who knew that he was acting. 😂

I didn’t realize the PeeWee character was developed in the 70s! This is an incredible piece of tv history
  • Pee Wee ended up being the only memorable character on this episode who made a lasting impression.

Paul was a very unique individual and very talented. Even in high school he stood out among the crowd. I was in study hall with him, in a couple of drama classes and would see him at the reunions. He was voted most talented male student. He was in most all of the plays in high school. Sometimes playing 2 or 3 parts. He was very funny and yet seemed like an regular guy at the reunions. His father Milton was very important in WWII and in the battle to gain Israels independence. He was 1 of only 5 fighter pilots in that war. RIP Paul. Thanks for making us laugh.
  • The funniest part is Pee Wee was wearing the least ridiculous outfit😂

Pee-Wee is hard core punk-rock every day of the year.
  • Reubens credited "The Dating Game" creator Chuck Barris with keeping him financially afloat in Hollywood during his early years. He also said playing Pee-wee on the game show helped him hone his improvisational skills. "It helped me in terms of understanding the power of the character and how the outside world reacted to it. It made me realize that I was really going to be this person on stage.". RIP Paul
  • Paul Reubens (Pee Wee Herman) was a favorite of producer Chuck Barris in the late seventies. Barris not only put Reubens on "The Dating Game," but he bent the rules by repeatedly allowing Reubens to perform on "The Gong Show," playing different characters in different guises.

I got to meet Paul in Los Angeles, when there was a Rememberance Service for one of the Del Rubio Triplets... He was quite and reserved unless he was w/friends...I knew of him when I was taking classes at the Groundlings in the late 70's. He was well respected for being SO creative and dedicated and being such a decent human on the planet.... He gave me confidence to create my own Public Access Show on Century Cable in LA in the late 80's #TakeaBreakwithMrPeteShow, and then my own show #TheLateMrPeteShow on KTLA 5 in L.A. There will never be, another PEEWEE HERMAN!!

I had the privilege of working with Paul in 2012 there about when managing a sound stage. He was a stellar dude and an acting pro. No kidding... he asked me by birth date during the shoot and for the next 3 years there after he sent me a birthday card in Pew Wee motif. Very Classy.
  • The person who said Pee Wee was the least cringe of all hit the nail right on the head 😂

I don’t recall ever seeing a pair of shorts like those! I remember hot pants in the early 7Os.
  • @vhagerty
Her outfit made me laugh out loud. 😂
  • Little did she know at the time, Pee Wee was the biggest catch there that day.
  • @foreverealm
Rest in Peace, Paul. You left this world with humility, class, and heart.

Pee-Wee was always stand out around others. Creative and not afraid to be his character. He will not be forgotten.
