The fact that you did this trip with your dad is far more valuable than the trip itself, I wish I was able to have a similar experience with my dad

I really liked how respectful you were of other passengers. I noticed you tried to keep them out of shots, respecting their privacy. I wish more YouTubers understood the importance of that. Bravo. Aside to your dad: he raised a good son.

The interior on this train is incredible. Those domed windows give an almost sci-fi feeling.
  • Love watching you take trips with your dad. My daughter passed 5 years ago, and we took several trips together. I'm 73 so I know how much this must mean to your dad. I travel solo now, not the same, but I take her with me in spirit when I go. God bless you both and thanks for sharing these experiences!
  • Hey You, I‘m one of these german engineers that made this train. I like your video because i can see the train in action. It is very nice to see that you enjoy the trip and like our work. My part of this project was the electric of the galley and the service bar.
  • This is so great! It was such a pleasure to welcome you and your dad onboard Rocky Mountaineer and celebrate his 75th birthday in style! We can't wait to see part 2 😊
  • I think it's really interesting how your dad addresses everyone by name. It really feels like a sign of respect, especially that he took the time and mental energy to ask or observe, AND remember their name.

I love that you travel with your parents. Adult children seem to forget the value of spending time with their parents. It's priceless. Especially adventures like this. It looked like such fun.
  • In 2008 My husband and I took the Rocky from Banff to Vancouver to catch a cruise ship to Alaska. Tom was very sick but was determined to see Alaska before he died. This rail trip was amazing and being able to relive it with this video was wonderful memories. Thank you for that

My Dad passed away 3.5 years ago and seeing you and your Dad enjoying this experience together warms my heart. Your Dad reminds me a lot of mine and I know for a fact he would have LOVED this.

You are a lucky man to take trips with your dad. The experience of having your dad with you is far more valuable than the luxury train experience. I wish I had similar experiences. I wish you both many more happy father-son trips together.
  • @Chrissyhappy
Your dad was lovely. Waving to people and saying hello to everyone. What a great guy.
  • @SalZephyr
Your Dad is such a jolly and lovely company. This trip wouldn't have been as good without him. God bless you two!
  • @kris2222ify
I think it’s so respectful using the names of the employees. They’re valuable and appreciated and I think that shows when you do that.
  • @suejaneuk1681
Spending time with your dad is precious. You never get that time back.
  • @Brunomacias89
You took the time to learn the crew's names. You're a good egg.

my dad was absolutely addicted to trains and we was gonna come from uk to go on this train, sadly he passed away nearly 2 years ago to cancer and watching you and your dad spend time together warmed my heart and i know for a fact he would of loved this❤️

My heart is so warm to see the father and son having a great time together. Thank you for sharing your precious memories with us.
  • Trains rock💪Mr grandfather spent his whole life as a station manager. He. Fought in WW1 and still came back to the rails. God bless the people that have become before us🙏🙏
  • Loved your dads comment about being in the picture. Have lived in Lakewood, Colorado for the better part of 50 years, about 5 miles from the Red Rocks Amphitheater. You used to be able to drive over the hogback, now Dinosaur Ridge, and at the top the entire park would come into view and it was like an amazing postcard. That was our feeling, that we were driving into the postcard. Keep making memories.
