This is a fan-made mash-up between the Macross franchise, most commonly known as Robotech in the west, and Danger Zone by Kenny Loggins, made famous by the movie "Top Gun". I do not own either the footage or music shown in this video and the rights go to their respective holders.

(To be honest I have no idea if I'm giving credit well enough but I'm trying my best)

I also want to note that the reason this video was made was for a school project, which I had fun doing, and was not very well put together, but I hope to get better in the future.

I never remembered how smooth the animation was when I saw it on TV. This re-amped my interest in Macross/Robotech again.

I do like the missiles painted up like Budwiser cans at about 49-50 seconds in. Gotta love those animation Easter Eggs!

i used to watched macross when i was kid in the 80's. truly amazing. they're fighting giant aliens as big as their fighters

There isn't any other transforming mecha show that gets their mech designs as great as Macross. Especially when the VF-1 is the mecha F-14. Each subsequent VF designs keeps getting better and better with their designs getting more designs from other countries fighter jets and some are an original from Shoji Kawamori himself.

I love the remake of the original Macross intro with modern graphics. And I just realized how much Top Gun plagiarized this for the intro to the first movie.
