You can only access so much of a part on a CNC machine. Backside countersinks and threads on the mini pallet clamps are just faster the old fashion way.

I don't think I've ever had a tap last that long LOL

Manual production machining. You’re a clever man Joe. Setups like these take time to get right, but worth every minute.
  • @johncollins719
You're feeding the parts and operating the quill by yourself?!?!? I am impressed.
  • @DonDegidio
Hi Joe, You always make everything look easy. πŸ™‚You and the family stay safe.
  • @robertoswalt319
Once you got setup, it looks like really went to town with those.
  • Didn't think You did mass production work like that. Anyway, You surely know how to set up for effective repetitive work.

Great video showing how efficient your tapmatic tapping head works.
  • @dlwilliams76
Automation at its best! You make it look easy. At some point I probably would have tried to tap my thumb instead of the clamp.

I’m impressed. You must have a lot of orders to get out of the door

Clever as a fox. Perhaps more clever!! So elegantly simple. Nice job and thanks for the educational content, that I can tell is trustworthy tradesman knowledge, so that a solo amateur like me can have a fighting chance at doing prideful work.
  • @StuartsShed

Brilliant set-up! Man and machine in perfect harmony πŸ™‚ ("Backside" chamfer made me smile. Perhaps "back side" would've been a bit more international... )
  • @MyRadDesign
That tap must be a thread forming tap. Excellent!
