The worst part about longing for someone that only exists in the stories that we make up in our head or we saw on TV is, not being able to make anyone understand how truly hurt we are. How physically painful it is to know you'll never have that reality to live in. Not being able to tell anyone why you're the way you are. Because they'd call you crazy. Overdramatic. Delusional, "It's not that deep". But how I could I not long for that feeling of coming home? How could I not long for what he made me feel? How broken are we, that the only thing we wish to do is leave this reality and escape into the one that we made up? I truly have no idea. But I do know now, with so much certainty, that we're not alone. We're all dreamers here. And that's okay. Even if it breaks us.
