When they make Caster Gil so likeable that you now consider "mongrel" as a compliment
  • @vernaute2803
Enkidu gaining sentience after sleeping with a divine harlot has got to be the most powerful instance of post-nut clarity ever written.
  • Don't forget, after Gil's essential herbs got stolen, the madlad decided to go back and grab another herb just to collect it.

Enkidu really said "I'm your treasure" and thousands of ships were launched

Could you imagine being the first hero in the Throne of Heroes? It's literally just you standing there wondering what the hell is goin on.

“Death was part of the very nature of the world” - except for the snake
  • Seeing Gilgamesh not portrayed as the bad guy was a breath of fresh air cause you know, he is technically a hero.
  • @Zeke1460
Correction: in Fate lore, gil didn’t spare enkidu. They actually tied in battle and neither one conceded defeat. In the real life lore tho, gil beat enkidu in a hard won wrestling match.

"one time use anti-army attack" Me:*slaps np gain up and arts up on gil* Observe

"I'll put it down in the court records. It'll say 'The king is in great abdominal pain'"
  • Being called a mongrel by King Gil is quite an honor. I'm glad he saw it fit to grace me with his presence....Though in exchanged i couldn't get Ereshkigal....
  • @EngrGuil
SO that was the reason in the following millenia, many heroes emerged with legendary weapons and noble phantasms. They better say thanks to Gil giving up his prized collection to the world

Imagine losing your immortality plant to a snake just because you wanted to take a bubble bath
  • @Arthion
Gilgamesh has a lot of rather funny moments from Fate/Extra CCC that pretty much cements him as a massive tsundere towards humanity. The question about if he actually loves humanity has him completely silenced and stunned for a moment before giving a sort of backhanded compliment as an answer.

They have the same backstory but Archer Gil is him before he went into the underworld while Caster Gil is him after the snake ate the immortality leaf when he didnt care about immortality anymore and learned to live life
