You are going to die eventually. Will you fill whatever lifetime you have left with so-called time management techniques and shortcuts? Or will you see time management as a way to infuse your life with meaning and purpose?

Brad Aeon studies time. Thank you for your time. Aeon is a Ph.D. researcher at the John Molson School of Business focused on time management, temporality, and work-life balance. He focuses on the improvement of our temporal decision-making as a solution to achieving more success by leading a less busy life. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at www.ted.com/tedx

  • "When it comes to time, we can either make excuses or sacrifices but only one of them will allow you to live a meaningful life." Wow šŸ‘
  • @boodai88
His relaxed speed of talk really reflects his concept

Iā€™m impressed about the approach this man took. When we talk about time management thereā€™s usually the ā€˜tips to be more efficientā€™. But thatā€™s not the point of time management. Itā€™s not about being more efficient and producte, which will lead to stress and overworking, but embracing our freedom to choose what we want to do with our time, being able to understand that it is limited and that it is up to our own to judge where we want to spend it. I am truly impressed. Never knew time had so much to do with philosophy. Well, philosophy is always there to question whether what we are doing is really whatā€™s good for us.

I find too many Ted talks to be either too obvious or just motivational nonsense, but this one was surprisingly meaningful and eye-opening for me. I'm surprised it doesn't have more views.
  • This Ted talks is one of the most oye opening for me. I used to manage my time to achieve my goals, but recently I've been asking to myself " is this the way how I actually want to spend my time?" Now thanks to this video I have my answer. I've missed the most important thing I've spent most of my time to get to my goals instead of hanging out more with my friends, my family and my girlfrien or more simple giving my time to help others people. I've forgotten the people around me. That's so sad. Now I'm aware of this and I can change . I hope you'll do the same my friend

This is by far the best TED talk Iā€™ve ever watched. I doubt that Iā€™d be interested in anyone elseā€™s thoughts on the concept of time after watching this. I donā€™t want them to dilute the purity of this wisdom. Wow!

10:22 "Time management is not just about you, it's about all of us" What defines a good use of our time? Leaving any positive impact (as it's really fulfilling to balance living for ourselves and for others)

I watched this ted talk when I was 18 back in 2019 and I didn't really catch the concept of it but I used it to write an essay about TIME but now 2021, I'm able to grasp most of what his saying because of the state I am in my life, it's always the simplest thing that pass our head but I have to admit he's right money isn't time. Time is Life and how you spend your time is actually how you spend your Life. Thanks for that

Ironically, the next suggested video is a TED talk about ā€˜How to multiply your timeā€™
  • @ocubex
This is by far the best talk I've heard on time management.

2:29 "...time management books are written by consultants, not philosphers..." I really like this
  • @Niena97
Time is a concept that a lot of people have always think about, either having time or not having time. This talk is changing the way I think about managing things in my life especially the part about giving excuses. Thank you
  • @rohitmitruka
Really a profound and thought-provoking speech, while we all seek for shortcut ways, tips and tricks to cut down time usage, this guy has made me stop for a moment and really think and grasp what time actually is. Time is not money, time is life.
  • @shivammonga9141
Best thing about his speech is that he didn't impose his answers, tips & tricks on the audience, he just gave them the right questions to ask themselves!
  • @karmbrar2689
I think that life was a lot simpler back in our grand parents age. They relied on simple things to live life and we just complicated it with too many things on our plate. We can be happy and enjoy our time on this planet, and the key is to KEEP IT SIMPLE.
  • @brendapereira6114
at the beginning I was a little bit bothered by his slow-paced way of speaking, but quickly I realized that this is just an evidence of his approach to life and time management, and I agree with it 100%
  • @SarcolKent

  • @romicaraina
