These are separated household tasks. It would be nice to show one general connected task like clean the table by loading all the dishes to dish washer.
-
A lot of kids born today are never gonna have to change their bedsheets make their own food or do the laundry.
-
Someone elsewhere noted that these are edited snippets of a longer video showing the robot act on an already laid out 'scenario'. They need to show someone toss the t-shirt on the table and the bot pick it up, lay it out and iron it. Or the bot turning the cucumber after skinning the whole side.
-
I guess my only question is- why do we simply believe that the speed, skills, lack of teleoperation, etc are real just because we're being told it is? Not saying it's not real- but who says it's any less likely that it's just pure exaggeration through editing?

LOL.. people cant even afford a house at this point. A robot would be an extreme luxury item at this point.
-
Now who needs wife:face-blue-smiling:

I am pro-robot all the way but the elephant in the room here is that many of the tasks we see here are far more difficult than "taking out a person", to put it nicely. So I think cyber security and security/safety redundancy is and will be paramount for anything that can be rollout out in the US.
-
All the cool forms and abilities of these robots are going to be crazy in the future.
-
Very nice video. BTW, Sanctuary has been around for several years. It's nice to see them still in the game. Hopefully they've focused on other avenues besides telerobotics.
-
I will be interested in robotics, once we see a robot getting the instruction "make coffee" going into a house its never been in before (ideally one that's extremely untidy), finds the utilities to make coffee, prepares it and puts a cup of it on the table. I don't know who suggested this test back when, but someone decided this to be their personal AGI indicator test and I think it demonstrates a lot of important abilities which show fitness for real-world operation.
-
We both need the full video of these scenarios and a non-ccp entity to confirm its not teleoperated. That said this doesn't seem outside of expected progress. I'd imagine a hyper expensive luxury model for the top percent next year and one in every household in 5-10 years.
-
i think there is a chance that the robot is not autonomous, we can't be sure until it comes out
-
I think that Astribot would have a hard time getting by in an average, messy apartment.
-
Your sponsor ad amongst the robot clips felt positively dystopian or at least like we are living in the future when you mentioned how ai needs “fresh data” …YUM! I just pictured AI “FEED ME SEYMORE” and gobbling up data 😂
-
That last dog robot needs to attach a Mr. fusion on top for all that waste to convert to energy. Also, you would think they would have a a self-leveling basket on the robot.
-
Smells rotten.. from china? NOT teleoperated? Alright, now let me sell you some leveraged santa options for raindeer hats
-
... those dogs are somehow much less intimidating cleaning up.... I can picture rover with a new pooperscooper friend :D
-
The finesse and dexterity is mind blowing
-
If everything is solely focused on the arms and it doesn't have to walk move or balance then yes I'd expect alot from those arms as well
-
Can it vacuum and mop floors, do the dishes, cook? Clean bathrooms?
