I can totally see Alter Vug nonchalantly using Protect instead of the predictable super effective attack and following it up with Shadow Sneaks (just to revert to the casual AI afterwards). Finally, if you manage to defeat that omniscient AI, Mewtwo just decides to follow you because he's impressed by your skills as a Champion.
