I'm in my mid-fifties now and I can remember hearing this song so long ago .. and often too. I adore Barbra Streisand as one of my all time favorite singers. Not only for her abilities as a singer, but for her conviction to the lyrics, her ability to express the feelings and to connect into the story. I know a lot of renditions and performances to this song, but as always this one from Morissette is outstanding! She is a kind of ideal storyteller, she manages to make the song vibrant without overhanging, she's a master of little and subtle decorations and her stamina, her vibrato and her transitions are on absolute top level. Morissette loves singing, and music loves her. She's the one voice I would choose if I had to.

I’m been blessed to be married to my wife for 31 years now..My wife auntie is from Denver Colorado Gine and Jack and every summer all the relatives from my wife sides comes to Canada , to my wife Mom for a Family Reunion and Gine sing this song (Memory). I use to think that only me can sing until Gine start singing. MORISSETTE singing this Iconic song for me is Epic. About 15 years ago, I was so fortunate to be selected at my workplace to go to Las Vegas for a Surgical Technician's Conference. I couldn't have been more thrilled! I had been a Surg. Tech for over 16 years, at that time, and had never been chosen to attend a conference anywhere before. And there I was, selected to go to one of the most exciting cities in this country, if not on this planet!! Back then, I was such a HUGE Celine Dion fan and when I learned I was 1 of 2 chosen to go to the conference with ALL expenses paid, AT CAESAR'S PALACE where Celine performed, the first thing I did when I got home that day, I purchased a ticket to her show. I splurged on my ticket, which cost me $280+ precious dollars. But it being a once in lifetime thing for me and I had just had a birthday, I joyfully bought the ticket. My co-worker wasn't a fan, so she chose not to attend the show with me. Back then, Celine Dion, in my opinion, was the greatest singer in the world and I told God, quietly, while sitting in my seat 4 ROWS FROM THE STAGE, waiting to see and hear her incredible voice, "God, if you take me after this, I'm good with it because You have blessed me with a dream come true!!" Needless to say, being there was so surreal, and Celine and the show she put on, were absolutely magnificent!!! And she still is in the top 3 on my list!! So, here we are, 4 years after me accidentally finding Morissette Amon on YT and this beautiful young lady has made her way to the top of MY list of the best singers in the world. She IS second to none and a once-in-a-lifetime, extraordinary singer. In EVERY single category, she checks EVERY box!! I know Morissette isn't perfect, no one is, but there is just something about her that can make a person believe "not all is lost" in this world she makes this world a better place to be in. It has a lot to do with her humbleness, her spirit, her faith, her love for her fans, her down-to-earth realness, her beauty, inside and out and her enormous and often times, angelic God-given talent!! ALL wonderful adjectives, in a dictionary, have already been used time and again, to describe her as a person and a performer! If I had a dollar for every time the word "flawless" is used, she'd make me a very rich woman!! To see her in concert would be another dream come true!! However, being retired and on a very fixed income, I don't see that dream coming true. But, I still wish it for anyone whose dream it is! I will, happily, live vicariously through those who have their dream to see her live in her joyful and beautiful self, come true!! Make it you, if possible!!! .

I was lucky and fortunate enough to watch Barbara Streisand at her concert in the 90s. In my opinion Barbara Streisand is undoubtedly one of the best singers in the world! Now watching this performance from Morissette reminds me a lot of Streisand in her voice. Her vibratos are so clean and beautiful!! Her technique is immaculate and so flawless. I never get tired of writing this but Morissette is a once in a generational vocalist!! I think you should request for shoes donations!! Lol Love your reaction as always. ❤️❤️❤️

I'm in my 40s now and this song hit me hard.

As great a singer as Barbara Streisand is, she doesn't have Morissette's full, rich and velvet alto tone. And she doesn't have Morissette's vocal power. I can just imagine her in the middle of the stage at Carnegie Hall belting these notes.

She should have been chosen to sing at half time at Super Bowl last month. The world needs to hear this angel.

Very beautifully sung. Morissette does so well singing Broadway and Disney tunes. Your right, they need to do a revival of Cats and give Morissette the leading role of Grizabella. Don't have any auditions, just give Morisette the part.

I mean, whet genre of music can't she execute with the utmost exceptional quality, she's a vocal genius, she's a performance genius, she gets your undivided attention the second she puts a mic in front of her lips, she's my No1, has been for over 4yrs now, I fell out with music a long time ago because I felt it had lost its way with the amount of crap that we have been subject too, the so called artists that shouldn't be we're they are, the amount of egoistic, selfish, self obsessed drama queens that's plagued this once great industry, all these award shows that's lost all its prestige because of the mediocrity that's being put in front of us, then this young UNBELIEVABLY MAGNIFICENT ARTIST comes along and simply blows the whole lot of them out of the water, she is the best of the BEST, past or present, I defy anyone to explain to me why you would think any different, there's simply no one, but no one in her class, she's the TOTAL PACKAGE 🇬🇧🔥👌❤️.
