I love his point on compromise. Another perspective i heard is that doing those occasional things you think you don't want to do actually serves your deeper want to have a close, solid relationship. So if you change your perspective, you actually do want to do those things because you understand the deep intention behind them. There's definitely room to take that idea too far, but I think it's great for the smaller things.

I wouldn't be surprised if they collaborate on a show or book jointly about how to have a strong relationship. I know that they are human beings and are not perfect but they sure seem to have it more together than most people. I am uplifted and inspired when I hear them speak.
