I have already talked to you about Altramar ensemble in these two videos:    • Crossroads of the Celts - Altramar Me...   -    • From Galway to Galicia: the Celtic sh...
In this publication, Altramar ensemble is engaged in the repertoire of 12th-13th century Spain. I'll start by saying that I'm not a great lover of Mediterranean sounds, but the performance of Altramar made me love these influences and rhythms!

I wish you happy listening!

  • We love it. The three Abrahamic traditions brought respectfully, and respectively through the beauty of that golden age that is middle ages and through that muse of mediums known as magical music, thank you.

  • I'm so delighted to hear from you again, Musica Medievale😂. I was troubled about not hearing from you for the last couple of weeks on YouTube. (Maybe you took a well-deserved sabbatical from syncing your music episodes) It's another of your treasured uploads that I find most engaging and thoroughly enjoyed. Thanks for this new edition of Medieval music from Spain, and from my heart, welcome back🫂.

Salam / shalom! I want to learn the Islamic and Jew pieces. Lyrics anywhere? Great-grandchild of late Péter Ujvári (originally Grossmann), editor of Hungarian Jew Enciclopedy 😉🇭🇺✡
