I remember when Zach would usually say things like "Whatever, Wild Rats" and the whole team would respond "That's Wild Kratts!"

My biggest complaint is that Zack isn’t mentioned. He’s the best villain. The man is iconic. I remember several episodes where I actually wanted to root for him. Maybe he isn’t mentioned because air is mad that Zack went to college with Aveva and he didn’t.

    I. LOVED. THIS. SHOW. SO. MUCH. I don’t watch it anymore, BUT I STILL DO. As an animal obsessed kid who also had adhd, this show had me hooked. I got to learn about cool animal species and so many facts about them, AND I was thoroughly entertained by all the adventure and colorful animation. I was learning without having to struggle to pay attention to what I was trying to learn! And the combination of learning things I found interesting while also watching a cool animated show, resulted in a level of entertainment and engagement I rarely to this day have ever experienced. BEST. SHOW. EVER.
  • This show was absolutely GOATED. I remember coming home from elementary school and this show would always be on around 4-4:30. I honestly feel it's what sparked my love for learning about animals and that spread into astronomy for me as well. I also have a really fond memory with the games since I would often play them on my school's computers when I didn't have anything else to do or needed to stay inside when it got cold out (I got sick easily during the winter when I was younger) those and the Electric Company games were some of my absolute childhood.

Man these guys have been around FOREVER. Even before Zoboomafoo, there was Kratt’s Creatures. It feels like a real progression, with each series getting more episodes and more animated focuses. Wild Kratts really feels like when they found a formula that worked for their target audience.

I like how they don't fall with the twin stereotype and give them each a personality

As a kid, I remember liking the show more whenever Aviva was on screen, but I didn't have the emotional intelligence back then to know why... As a man I know now, she was my first love (Jokes aside this show was my entire childhood and I hope it stays somewhat talked about for a while, it taught me so much about the animal world. The characters, the villains, the comedy, it was all top tier)
  • I wanted to be like Aviva SO badly. She was like my inspiration of looks and character
  • nostalgia at it's finest, I love this show, it's nice to see that people still remember it
  • To be honest my favorite part is that they go over that things that people and a lot of kid shows don’t explain about animals like how predators are hunting because they die if they don’t, and that some animals don’t live all that long, and that snakes would rather use their venom on prey then on us.

My first ever fictional crush was animated Chris Kratt 😅 I was a huge animal facts nerd and I absolutely LOVED this show! I watched each and every episode and caught up on any I didn’t see recently actually 😂 The super powers are done so well! They give them powers while still having weaknesses (malfunctions and having to touch an animal and each animal having their own weakness ex: fish can’t be out of water) and they leave room to build on the powers each time with new creatures! Also they keep a timeline by referencing the animals and tech in the past! Anyways I loved this show so much and still do!
  • Dude, I remember when I used to play on the PBS website and they had a whole adventure game where you could design your own character and travel around the world, transforming into different animals. Sadly I didn’t get that far and they removed it, but it was such a blast to play!

2:46 actually she didn't sell their skin, she just sold them. alive. straight up. she would capture animals, freeze them in "suspended animation" where theyre still alive but can't move, and then sell them as fashion accessories or hats or something. and then the chef guy likes to cook exclusively endangered animals. and the Aviva thing; 100% agree
  • To be brutally honest, I thought the Kratts weren’t able to produce any new shows since the pandemic. I would like to see them back in action one day, because this has always been and always will be an extraordinary great show. Btw, I don’t have a favorite character, I just like watching the show.

I remember how Aviva and Zach's rivalry started at science camp when her potato clock worked better than his moldy bread clock
  • Man I miss this show. I just can’t believe I’m off to college now and Wild Kratts is almost in the past😭 They got me through my entire childhood❤️

Your constant thirst for Aviva aside (which, okay, is very valid), this was an overall quite good synopsis of Wild Kratts and why it worked. I grew up on this series and abjectly forgot it existed until now, so thank you for jogging my memory!
  • The brothers actually live in my city now, which is pretty mind blowing to think about. I went to one of their Wild Krafts Live shows and got to talk to them in person - asked for advice about how to get into the zoology/biology field, about careers, all that stuff (I was getting close to graduating high school). It was an awesome moment.
  • The fact that I'm old enough to start relating to a young adult makes me want to cry into a pillow and dream about Aviva.
