I love the idea that Impostors aren't alien invaders but crew members mutated into intelligent monsters.

I never imagined the impostors would be of our own kind in this scenario. I always thought they were evil carnivorous aliens. But the virus corrupted them, giving them energy, but turning them into horrifying monsters.
