100% no-commentary playthrough -- all level exits and Dragon Coins are shown. This was recorded on the snes9x emulator. I did die more than a few times - I edited out the deaths afterwards, so none of them appear in the video. I also did a bit of editing towards the end of the video, in the final level. Normally the player just picks two rooms and can't access the other six, but for completion's sake I decided to show all of them.

You might notice that I crouch a lot, seemingly at random. That's just my USB controller being weird.

You are free to use this footage in your own video if you wish, so long as this video and channel are credited in your video/description.

Amazing how this game is over 30 years old and still looks great to this day. Aged like wine.
  • So many great memories playing this game. The music and details are vividly are burned into my brain, even though I haven't played it in almost 30 years!

The intelligent game design and art direction as well as sound design is off the charts with the limited capabilities of the snes - this is a masterpiece.
  • The amount of nostalgia is insane, i don't know how many hours i played this game on Super Nintendo as a kid.
  • Can't believe it's now 30 years old. This game has got more secrets than the Housewives of Orange County.

This reminds me of the hours my brother and I sat in the living room after school playing super Mario world. I loved growing up in the 90s.... Amazing times back then.... I miss those days so much

Everything about this game was a kid's dream come true. The graphics were great for the day, but it was the gameplay that let my imagination run absolutely wild.
  • Thank you sharing! Brings back memories. I’m forty now, oldest of five, and we played this a lot as kids. I remember us buying the SNES at Kmart at the time. Then raced home, set the tv on channel three, and set up the system. My grandma and aunt played, too. Each Sunday, I’d visit my grandma and she’d make snacks and hot tea. We’d play for hours. Also used to ride my bike to neighborhood friends and play after school. When I stayed the night on the weekends, their parents ordered pizza, and we’d play half the night. We’d play Super Mario, BattleToads, Earthworm Jim, among others. Another favorite was Street Fighter II. Miss those days!

Never got to finish the game. Thanks for playing out what was essentially our most cherished childhood memories. This was the game which was given free when you bought the Japanese made SNES console for the Asian market. I still have the console as well as the game.
