This wasn't just a game. This was and still is an experience
  • He is the last dream to end all dreams. Tidus is the only character to ACTUALLY be the Final Fantasy.

I never, ever thought that I could cry over a game until I played FFX. I was 25 years old when I was able to bought my own PS2 (13 years ago). Because I loved Fanatasy, I bought that game... and it was INCREDIBLE. The story, de sound, the animations... I was in love with the game. And at the end... I couldn't stop crying. I remembered that when I started to figure Tidus's fate out I was like: no, no, no no no no NO! COME ON! It broke my heart. How I wish this story turned out in a book or a movie so I can treasure it forever.

The person who played the violin solo had their rent due… my gosh… it’s literally absolutely beautiful

Keep in mind, these cut scenes were on PS2, the realism was mind blowing at the time.

Just saw this performed live at distant worlds here in Los Angeles earlier in the night. No version found in YouTube compares. You need to hear the orchestra and her voice. I was moved..

i got to see Rikki perform this song live a couple days ago at the Distant Worlds Concert in Chicago.... the song was wonderful and she still sings it as beautifully now as she did when she first sang it 21 years ago

Still hits me in the feels. Before FFX most of the games had somewhat happy endings. I wasn't ready for a totally bittersweet one.
  • I just saw Rikki perform this last night at Carnegie Hall for Distant Worlds: Coral and I don’t think there was a dry eye in the house. Incredible.
  • I've been listening to this song when I'm only 7 years old, now im 28 years old and still my favorite

"The Final Fantasy franchise, what a great franchise it was. FF 10 was one of my first games when I was little. I didn't know how to read because I was too young, but I was playing the game without understanding everything. When I heard the theme song 'Suteki da ne' for the first time and the way the music was used for the cutscenes that everyone knows if you have played the game, it was a magical moment back then when I was young, and even now, when I rewatch it, the feelings are always there, just like the kid I was. At that time, Japanese songs were hard to listen to because there was no YouTube or Spotify 20 years ago. So 'Suteki da ne' was one of my first memories of a Japanese song that I had heard. Now I'm learning Japanese thanks to that game, and FF 10 was the first game in which I enjoyed the movie on YouTube in Japanese (10 hours of story). So much love for this song, this game, and this franchise. Thank you very much Nobuo Uematsu, for creating music that touches the souls of millions of people."
