Quilts For Kids is Transforming discontinued, unwanted and other fabrics into patchwork quilts that comfort children with life-threatening illnesses and children of abuse.

If you own a sewing machine, have some sewing skill and a desire to help sick and abused kids PLEASE go to: quiltsforkids.org/ and request a free kit! Once you get your kit, follow the instructions and send your finished quilt back to them so they can give it to a child in need!!

If you don't sew, you can also go the their website and send in a monetary donation.

when you made this video my 4 year old was in the hospital being diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. while we were there she got a home made pillow case, it felt amazing for to know so many people care. when i went on the website i found a thank you note from our hospital. so cool! i have never quilted and have always wanted to try, here is my chance, thank you! will also see if my job can raise some money for them, we pick a new cherity every month :)

So glad I stumbled across this video today .. I've never heard of Quilts for Kids ... and I've never sewn a quilt ... and I'm so interested in making my first quilt for a child to comfort them. Thanks for posting video!! I'm sharing on Pinterest and hopefully they will have more seamstresses interested in helping out ;) Peace & love to you!

I hope your daughter knows that her pillow was made by loving hands and is a treasure to remind her that she isn't alone. There are people in the world that don't even know her, but that care for her just the same... myself included. Let me know if you need any help making a quilt. I can do more sewing videos if that helps. Hug that little angel and tell her I said to take extra good care of that pillow!

What a nice idea! Thank you for sharing - I've never heard of this organization before. I think it would be neat if you did progress videos for us. I'm going to put a link to their site on my Facebook page.
