  • Thanks for sharing this... it works... my family had secretly recorded me for me to see how much I am dragging my left leg when walking and how my balance appeared... seeing it for myself motivate me to work on these and be conscious of it whenever walking... first I was just focusing on being able to move from point A to point B on my own... when in public I now understand why people look at me the way they do...

Having a stroke has given me many opportunities to find myself. I find myself on the floor of my bathroom, my bedroom, my kitchen, the living room etc.

I just found this channel, very helpful. I had my stroke in mid-October last year and have been lucky enough to recover rapidly, but there is still some room for improvement.
  • This was interesting, yet it’s curious to me that no one ever much mentions Yoga for post-stroke therapy. Fully 5 years after my cerebral bleed, bringing with it all the usual disabilities, I saw a notice for a “yoga retreat” Jane Bakx was giving in Spain. On a whim, I took her up on it. It was amazing. Loved Spain, and Jane’s “therapy” ( my quotes”) was more restorative than I could have imagined. Highly recommended!

Yeah... I used to record videos of my workouts to document my recovery progress. This habit is very useful for me. 😊👍

My PT would do this and I never really understood why, so now I do. Thank you.

I should ask my OT if it’s okay! This should remind me if I practice something afterwards that I’m doing it correctly. Then at home try it. I’m sure they’d be interested! Awesome!👊. Thanks.

I have outside cameras and I have actually watched myself walk with my rollator and get in and out of the car. I also save the videos...and never look at them again! But maybe someday I will see myself improve on video.

It also encourages extended thought, for example, the video taken on the phone of taking the dish out is fairly long and complicated. In my experience, this leads to better thought processes, and then better extended thought. Your mileage may vary. 😉
