I worked at Tesla starting in July of 2017 as an Operations Analyst out of the Bethlehem, PA distribution center facility and left as a Program Manager based out of Austin, TX as of September 2021. I spent most of my time in the distribution and supply chain organizations.

Before Tesla, I was a Director of Business Intelligence and Pricing at the largest Pet Food & Supply distributor in the US, Phillips Pet Food & Supplies based out of Easton, PA. My wife and I also owned a small business in Bethlehem, PA between 2016 and 2019.

I have been a shareholder of Tesla since 2012 and currently own Tesla stock. Nothing I say constitutes as investment or financial advice.

My thoughts are my own and are not representative of everyone who currently works, or has worked at Tesla.

Its pretty ballsy of Neuralink to allow their first patient to speak openly on podcasts about their trials - respect to them!
  • How great is this young guy.... "I have it fairly easy" really.. What a positive person.. He is the perfect first recipient, such an amazing ambassador for Neurlink.

Why isn't the world treating Elon Musk as one of the most important people at least in this century? Not trying to be funny, I'm dead serious.
  • @expressI0N5
The “really” after speechless got me 😂
  • @MisterB123
Happy five months, Nolan! What a fascinating journey for this fella and for the World!

My mission statement is basically: Use whatever resources you have, to the best of your ability, to make the world a better place. So I truly deeply appreciate the conjunction of Neuralink and Noland who are both the best possible example of this principle.
  • @Synthwalk
The reason why he has to first map his finger movement to the cursor before he can move the cursor just with intent is because of the position of the electrodes... The electrodes are not positioned in the area of his brain where the intent of moving the cursor happens, think of it like this: intent to move mouse happens on area "A" of the Brain, and the nauralink is implanted on area B.. when Nolan tries to move the cursor just with intent, his brain is firing on area A, so the neuralink (which is in area B) isn't receiving any signal. But nolan can make a bridge in his brain between area A and B, and he does that by mapping the intent of moving his finger (which naturally happens on area B) to the mouse cursor. After mapping his finger to mouse: Area A (where mouse intent is) sends signals to area B (where neuralink/finger signal is) which sends signals to the app that moves the cursor.

Imagine being such important part of human history, first ever human with telepathic abillities xD.
  • The best interview so far! I've been saying for long that Neuralink is the most important project in the world, but it is getting more and more exciting!
  • @mukamuka0
Today Neuralink let person control PC. Imagine future where we can control 10 humanoid robot with our mind....
  • @davebohm464
ah nice, interesting interview because there is so much noise about neuralink and we hear it now from firsthand how it is and not just hearsay from random people on X
  • Such positiveness. Good for him for participating in the study. Another great Elon Musk initiative.
  • GenX grew up with the growth of the internet via the stages and variations of tech… We also remember and had our early years without it. I’ll argue that, although innate with technology from younger generations, Gen X have more balanced and control of their technologies like a Gaming Programer; whereas, younger generations are the Game Players, programmed.

I love @ModdedQuad Green Screen background, it’s so authentic 😂
  • @runem5429
I've thought about the idea of taking control of a sort of mirror-body before, but never of taking over two at the same time - so thanks for that crazy trip 🙃
  • Amazing how this is something I can scroll by in my feed and say "meh not that big of a deal"
