Drugs, guns, counterfeit documents and much more are sold on dark web marketplaces that run on anonymous browsers and use cryptocurrency. AlphaBay was the biggest marketplace, transacting over US$800,000 in a day enabling its founder to live a luxury lifestyle in anonymity until international law enforcement caught up with him. Alphabay was shut down in 2017. In August 2021 there were reports that the website was online again.

Amazing too that the Thai authorities can investigate Caze's luxurious lifestyle and lack of any obvious income but are unable to carry out the same investigation for their own politicians, army personnel and police personnel!

What amazes me is he used this clear net email address that he had been using for years, to send welcome emails to new users of AB. And used a handle that he had used on clear net forums in the past. For a computer genius he sure used pretty shotty opsec.

The big problem is the Government was not getting their Cut... thats why bartering sites are shut down, under the Guise of keeping the public safe...just maybe it was government agents listing the most dangerous products and the Government gets a Thrill shutting down free enterprise while allowing major Drug Cartels to flourish and keep the corruption payoffs coming in.

Overdramatic narration. Dude was harmless, he's not a drug lord or a terrorist with body guards. There are so many criminals and politician criminals, warlords, bankers who needed to get this much scrutiny, they focus their energy on the wrong dude.
