  • My dad just passed away 2 weeks ago. I'm 54 and when I was a little girl my dad would play this album. I would sit in the living room and look at this album to see what every character was doing. My dad would have a scotch and water with ice in his hand. He would be BBQ dinner. We had a beautiful home in Oregon. I miss you dad! I'm happy that your with mom and my sisters 💕 this song sticks out to me. He would dance to the beat of thos song. ❤ I'm sorry if I already posted a memory. I will do it a thousand times over until I meet my family again. Peace and love to you all!
  • There will never be another era of music like we had in the 1970’s Rock. Motown. Rhythm and blues were at their highest!

i was about 10 when this first came out back in the 70s. My sister played this in her room all the time when she was a teen. She listened to Santana, a LOT of EW&F, Led Zepplin, Young Holt Unlimited, Jerry Butler, Friends of Distinction, Sly, Edgar Winter, Mandrill and others. I realized long ago her taste was all over the place, but in a very diverse way. I am now 62. RIP my sister LT, 1955 - 2014.
  • This is another group that put your mind at peace just like earth wind & Fire.Put you in your comfort zone.🥰🐶66 years and still digging this song.
  • American music for me, was forever defined in this era and has not been the same since. Brilliant social commentary mixed with a musicality that made for powerful narratives. What I loved so much about these guys is that they were not technically great singers but as a group, their harmonies were impeccable. They were masters of their craft and, for 50 years I have been a fan

My mom had this on 8-track tape when I was a kid. I'm the proud owner of an original vinyl lp copy with the poster. Love this band!

My dad and my brothers drove from Seattle to Pittsburgh in 93 ....in a 82 Coupdaville Cadillac with the original Soundsystem. 8-TRACK😮😮😊😊. They went to the Goodwill and my dad saw this 8track. This is what they listened to the whole trip😮😂😂. RIPDADDY03-11-23LOVEYOU❤

One of the best groups ive ever heard. A shame they never really got the recognition they deserved!
  • @Memo-nd6fj
One of the most iconic bands ever. Amazing group of musicians to ever come together. Their sound was unique and unmistakably theirs. There should of been a book or movie made of their amazing careers. Charles Miller on the sax is so so beautiful and melodic and hauntingly beautiful. I have listened to this song hundreds of times and will keep on listening to it. You can also hear him on their WAR LIVE album, on "Sun oh Son" for a long sax solo that is out of this world. I hope they all make it through the resurrection and playing for us all in Paradise.
  • @TwoRiders
What can you say? It towers above today's music. The song was FM format at a time that FM stations weren't totally a thing. Talent in the band and the mix board,, A gem.

My Dad introduced me to this album in the 90's when I was 10 or 11. Its 2023. I'm 41 now and this album is still amazes me. Absolutely classic ❤
